LOL at Iole bemoaning a lack of basic journalistic principles.

He starts by getting his biased shots in by saying this is perhaps the last Elite show on CBS, when, in fact, CBS was thrilled with the ratings and have confirmed at least a fourth show. There was no indication of any kind that this would be the last Elite show on CBS, but the UFC lapdog brought it into public consciousness anyway.

The ridiculous article continues by criticizing the lack of reporting about the injury and details of Kimbo taking the fight. He keeps trying to compare what they should have done to what the NFL does. Huh? They said what happened and interviewed Shamrock and Kimbo. Why would we need to know about money at that point? Does the UFC do any of what Iole was saying should've been done? Of course not. A basic lack of journalistic integrity on Iole's part.....AGAIN.

And....one last parting shot..."the putrid first show". What a douche! He shouldn't even be considered a journalist; he's a UFC public relations clerk.

I too was disgusted by what I read. I'm beginniing to think that Iole does slightly favor the UFC over other promotions. This isn't the first time Ive seen this type of somewhat biased writing.

I agree witht Iole about the announcing, it is insulting to MMA fans to act like that TKO was unbelieveable or that Kimbo was some unstoppable monster. If Set Petruzelli had just beaten the crap outta Fedor, I would expect that hear that little girl on a roller coaster type of scream from the announcers, but for that fight, Please

Of course it's hype. It's no different than Goldy and Rogan having on-camera orgasms when something unexpected or exciting happens. I have no problem with Shamrock or Johnson. Mauro is, and always was, a shill. Back when Pride was king, he badmouthed and ridiculed the UFC at every opportunity and I've always disliked him immensely.

The announcers were just playing up what Elite has been selling and to the uninitiated MMA fan, that result was a huge surprise.

I agree with the Goldberg/Rogan comparisons, they are just as bad, but Sat night, it was taken to a new level.

Ranallo is horrible. He has that 'announcer' voice and he will literally say anything to cozy up with management.
