What about once he rolled to his back? He seemed to get thumped a few times there and appeared to go stiff for a second, as though the lights briefly went out on him, right about when the ref stepped in.

thats where I saw it end, one would have to believe that a hammer fist to the back of the head would drop no Slice face down, yet the puch he took to the side of the head is what turned him and then he was looking like Houston A taking shots to the mug.

If the win is turned into a NC, EliteXC will lose any credibility it had left. fans and journalists will tear them apart.

Re: Excuses
I don't know if a NC would change any perception of the match. Officially, Gomi beat Diaz, but everyone knows who won that fight.
For the record, although his career hasn't taken off like some expected, Petruzelli is far from a can. He's shown his talent level is very high. Seems like his problem might be b/w his ears.
I heart Jazzy B. White.

It was a no contest so neither fighter officially won but I agree that we all know that Diaz won.

Re: Excuses
Many of the fights I have seen the ref will give a warning for a shot to the back of the head before he stops the fight and penalizes a fighter. I saw the ref had his hands on the fighters right after the blow and look like he was going to stop it, but let it continue. I am assuming he considered stopping but from his vantage point did not think the punch was hard enough to warrant a stoppage / penalty.
I also saw that Petruzelli was not even training full time for his fight. He had his on business and was training on the side.

Re: Excuses
Keep in mind that it would be the comission that rules on a NC, not Elite XC. Elite XC has no say in the matter of ruling. Sure they are heard at the hearing, but the decision is made by the comission.

I don't think it's so much the perception of the match but the perception of Elite XC. If people were crying fix before the fight even happened, imagine how they'd react if the loss was suddenly removed from Kimbo's record, even it's not Elite's call to make.
And, I agree ... Seth has been a little inconsistent but he's no can.
