He might not want to have to fight Diaz twice, but I don't know what other options he thought he had. Now he has a reputation as a primadonna. It will be interesting to see who scoops him up. He honestly just comes across as a little afriad of Diaz.

He is not going to make more money if he isn't getting more exposure. Its that simple. | |

He's going to start out as a nobody, basically on WarMachine's level, in the UFC, provided they even take him. Dumb, dumb, dumb. CBS exposure is good no matter what other factors are in place.

I wouldn't want to fight Diaz either. They created a weight class just for Diaz, they promote him much more heavily, they pay him more, and regardless of whether you agree, a lot of people perceived favoritism the last time one of their money trains was in danger (Thompson-Kimbo). Perhaps he's worried about a screwjob.

The fact is, the fighters get paid according to their reputation and draw. That is why Brock gets paid the big bucks. KJ is not a big name draw. Diaz is a draw because of both his success in Dream and UFC and for his infamy. The same would be said if they signed Tito. He would get paid more than Feijao, regardless whether Feijao had the title. KJ needs to make up his mind. First he refused to fight Diaz no matter what because he didn't feel Diaz deserved it. Now its the money. If it were the money, they could have negotiated. I call BS, and that this punk is grasping for straws. Every fighter has a chip on their shoulder for something. He is just using his an an excuse. He knew full well EliteXC needed him to fight Oct 4 to help save the company. And that the Diaz debacle made waves around MMA that could be cashed in. He refused the fight knowing full well it would hurt their event. I say hold his contract and let him box. After he loses a fight in the ring, he'll come crawling back. |

He is still under contract for 2 fights. He owes them 2 fights or he could wind up pulling a Randy. I am sure he is crossing his fingers for Elite to go out of business. He better not hold his breath because Showtime is looking to purchase EliteXC.
