Mir forced to apologize for wanting to break Lesnar's neck
On Friday, former UFC heavyweight champ Frank Mir said he wanted to break current titleholder Brock Lesnar's neck, wishing the former University of Minnesota wrestler would become the first person to die from injuries in the Octagon.
On Tuesday, Mir took back his death-wish.
In a press release issued by Ultimate Fighting Championship today, Mir said:
"I would like to apologize to Brock, his family, the UFC and the UFC fans for my stupid remarks. I respect Brock, all the other fighters, and the sport of mixed martial arts. I'm sorry that I stepped out of line."
