    Well, there you go...

"Not only has the UFC not paid any extra money for Thiago to fight through an injury, but to the contrary, in my 10 years of dealing with the UFC, (matchmaker) Joe Silva and the staff have always said it's better to pull out of a fight if you're hurt rather than lose a fight because you're injured," Davis said.

Also, upon further investigation, most of these reports say the UFC is offering to pay Thiago Silva more, not "pressuring him".

If this is true, it would set a dangerous precendent. Can't you just see a lot of fighters claiming they were "injured" in training and demanding more money to fight? (oh, and people actually fighting injured would be bad too.)

I think it would definitely be a bad business precedent to set, but I don't think it would be trying toforce a fighter to fight. Either way, it is apparently untrue.

So basically this is an untrustworthy source allegedly citing a more trustworthy source that nobody can see.

Also, upon further investigation, most of these reports say the UFC is offering to pay Thiago Silva more, not "pressuring him". So what's the big deal? If the injury was so severe he couldn't fight, he'd say no. The UFC has let many guys drop out of fights, all very recently, so it's not like they are forcing Silva here, in the event this is true.
Yea i dont think its that big of a deal, i was just mentioning another source beyond mmabay. I dont know much about alvarez in terms of reliability but meltzer is very credible so i doubt he would associate himself with someone who was not.

Dave Meltzer hosts the wrestling observer radio show and bryan alvarez is his cohost. i have no doubt that Alvarez is legit as much as Meltzer.

Karo was cut by the UFC in a very vocal way when he pulled out of his last fight - I know that's different than an injury, but certainly not the laid back "fight if you are ready" attitude Dana tries to portrait
