Surprised Kimbo only made $25k. I expecte to see him bring in 6 figures. Any word on the ratings for this show?

Obviously they gave him a giant signing bonus. He was making half a million or more a fight in Elite; no way he does the show for free just to get a $25g payday. Dana didn't want everyone else getting pissed off, so the signing bonus is a secret

Looks like they increased the amount TUF start at (from 5+5 to 8+8), but if he didn't get special terms like Dana said, he would have gotten 8+8 like Nelson did (along with all the others who did not win the show).

Are you speculating again Claudale? What signing bonus? Show me where it says that. Next thing you're going to tell me these guys get back room bonuses in a brown paper bag filled with hundies...

I think we all agree a handful of guys (and only a handful) get a % of PPV and signing bonuses.

If Dana paid Kimbo hundreds of thousands a fight it would piss a lot of fighters off. Some guys get discretionary bonuses as well (again, not all of them) but that is reported to the IRS (sorry). If he actually hands them cash instead of a check, they should probably be insulted (that was a trick Don King used to pay Tyson less)

Spike TV on Tuesday revealed that Kimbo’s fight with Houston Alexander led the charge for “The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights” finale, drawing a peak of 5.2 million viewers. The season 10 finale averaged 3.7 million viewers over the course of the three-hour telecast.
