Rumors (and only rumors) were around $350k and a PPV cut. That could be exactly right, way high, or way low. Just saying what I've heard.

GSP makes a base of 400k and i am pretty certain he makes a ppv percentage. I cant imagine tito making much more than that, i guess he could make a higher percentage on the ppv but gsp might be the most popular fighter in the ufc at this point.

How do you know he makes $400M ? Just wondering.

thanks - $350g isn't that much, but PPV cuts can be and really only a couple of guys are in a position to demand that.

PJ - it makes perfect sense that GSP gets a PPV cut as he's one of the biggest draws.

We know Randy, Tito, Chuck and Lesnar got them - not sure how many others do. Hughes did against Royce and maybe against GSP - but I'm sure he doesn't for everything.

I would imagine Silva does not, or he would not have done that free fight against James Irving. I would also think that guys who get PPV cuts would not be too interested in doing European shows (where PPV buys are supposedly less)

I don't get why Silva is the one telling the UFC who his next opponent should be. Maybe he thinks Henderson could be a problem for him but might lose to Marquart.

Dan also had a hard time signing with the UFC early. He said they wanted him to make less than he made in Pride and wanted him to make less because the UFC was "investing" (losing money or making less money) on the European shows.
this is one way the fighters are going to get better contracts. one other org near by that counts increases a fighter's bargaining potential. hendo will be able to get what ever he wants, with in reason, from either org.

on the down side the new fighters are going to get the shaft. the orgs can sucker them to long term crappy contracts.

I don't know what anyone gets paid, but I love to watch Hederson fight. He is getting older and probably wants more money because he knows he doesn't have a lot of time left. I would like to see him fight Tito and get a cut of that ppv. I know Dana doesn't really care about many fighters, but Henderson deserves at least one huge paycheck before he retires. If Strikeforce will give it to him, then I hope he does go.

Damn that Hendo is a greedy bastard, how dare he ask for big $$$, does he think hes some kind of legend or something, a future HOF'er??? it disturbs me that Hendo would think hes entitled to big time money, I mean what has he done lately???

Free fight? Tell me more. I never heard of him having done it for free.

Free fight meaning it was not on PPV. He was paid $200g for that fight. It's possible he does get a share of PPV and the UFC paid him some estimate of what he would have made has it was on PPV, but I doubt it.

That card was broadcast for free? I don't remember that. Thank sfor clarifying I had no idea what you meant by free. Was it over seas? Why wasn't it a pay per view?
