I think as the sport has advanced people are doing a better job of scouting their opponents. Chuck has had a tendancy to leave himself open to that sort of counter. It looked like Rampage and Rashad both were waiting for that opening and expoited it. That being said I still think he avoids that blow a couple of years ago with his quicker reflexes.

On Chuck vs. Spider... it would be a good matchup as far as bringing in money and entertaining fans, but looking at where both of them are in their respective careers (Chuck in decline vs. Spider at his peak) I don't really see Chuck being competitive against the Spider.

![]() | ....to a guy who beat him years ago in his prime, a top contender with a KO of the current champ and an undefeated guy. He ain't losin' to bums here. Sanwiched between these bad outings are wins over W. Silva and Tito. He's far from washed up.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Two years ago he was in the mix for best pound for pound. Hard to put him top 5 at 205 right now. Maybe not washed up, but he is no longer dominant therefore either past his prime or he was previously overated.
