Default Anderson Silva vs. Lyoto Machida=Superfight

I feel like I hear more talk about people wanting GSP to fight Silva more than wanting Machida. Everyone that is smart knows that GSP is to small for this fight even though he is still one of the greatest active fighters. But lets get real. Machida's elusive striking and karate skills with his ways to confuse fighters into oblivion versus the p4p(in most polls) best fighter in the world. Anderson wants go bigger and Dana said to trust him, "this fight will happen." SO I WANNA HEAR SOME PREDICTIONS AND SOME ADVANTAGES TOWARDS EITHER FIGHTER!!!

Lyoto takes this fight. He has some of the most dangerous striking skills in the world. Combine that with his funky fighting style and amazing counter skills, then you got yourself one badass killing machine. He's got some of the best fighting skills in all of mma. Just as good as Silva's. I don't think Silva would be able to figure him out. And since Silva has some of the best striking in the world and really loves to throw those fists, I can see Lyoto countering one of Silva's deadly combos and really hurting him. Lyoto also possess a size advantage.

Anderson takes this fight. He has some of the most dangerous striking skills in the world. Combine that with his funky fighting style and amazing Muy Thai skills, then you got yourself one bad ass killing machine. He's got some of the best fighting skills in all of MMA. I don't think Machida would be able to figure him out. And since Machida has some of the best take down defense, I can see this one remain standing and The Spider using deadly combos and really hurting him. Anderson also possess a size advantage.

I, like Herr AO, believe the ASilva will be able to cut through the defense of Machida and use his striking to win this fight.

I have to go with Machida in decision. Silva has shown that he gets frustrated with figters when they don't stand and bang with him. I think Silva would start dropping his hands and waving Machida in to try and get the judges on his side, but Machida's hit-and-run will overtake him.

This is a match up i would love to see. I think Machida might have a slight edge in striking but i think silva has a better chin and more power. We have not really seen machidas chin tested but we know that silvas chin is great.

Both guys like to move backwards and counter. Could be the most boring 5 rounder of all time

Might indeed be a boring fight... in fact, that might be the way to beat Machida, just chase his around, make sure you look like the agressor, and avoid taking any serious damage. Easier said than done of course
