Dana's taking a risk, not only did Vitor look different physically, he didn't make 195 and now he's got a title shot at 185.

I'm not sure he would have been ready for a long fight with Franklin, but I hope we see the best Vitor possible.

Until he is beaten or at least challenged, you gotta go with Silva.

I was wondering if it was for the title because the article didnt say anything about it.

If Vitor makes weight on time, I thinks hes got a real good shot, if he doesnt and has a bunch to lose I think he burns out, which is what I was worried about in the Franklin fight, luckily he ended it quickly

A catch weight? Doesn't make much sense, Vitor has fought at 185 and what good is it for Silva to have the title if he's not risking it every time he fights someone at 185. Pride used to have non title fights involving champions.

I guess Vitor can catch anyone, but Silva has a lot of reach and he can catch anyone too.

I agree about the title, Id rather see this at 185 for the belt even though it bumps Hendo back down the line a little. the article just didnt say one way or the other.

Vitor can catch anyone, and youre right so can AS, so it will be an interesting fight.

I cant remember ever seeing silva hurt and all his training partners are on record stating that they have never seen him hurt in practice either. Thats not good for belfort as i think his only chance in this fight is a knockout. He has explosive fast hands but i think silva is the superior technical striking and as claudale said he has the reach as well.

Vitor still hasn't erased a history against elite opponents, if he doesn't take control early, he fades. This is a bad opponent for that.

    Oh yeah?

I guess the best way to win (or not lose) is to follow Cote's strategy; don't engage, burn time and don't come forward.

I think Wanderlei may disagree with you.
