Adolf Oliverbush has become a starter
Default Re: Kimbo Slice vs. Big Country: Who yall got?

I'd like to see the big man from Sarasota come out on top. I just can't see it happening.

My prediction is Nelson wins a two round decision, but Kimbo holds his own and gains respect and some legitimacy.

I say Kimbo loses, but comes back as an alternate later on. the dude is around way too much on advertising to be gone for good.

Dana wouldn't leave it up to the coaches if Kimbo loses and they need an alternate. No matter how he does against Big Country.

But for this to happen, someone needs to win and fight and get hurt in the process or get hurt training. the fights aren't exactly wars so far, so this may not happen

Kimbo has to have done something halfway decent or JB wouldn't be so emphatic that he's coming back to the UFC for sure.

That shot that Adolf post does show him landing a good punch. I guess its possible that Dana paid him to be on the show and that's it, but I've read everyone on the show gets contracts with the UFC before it starts (contracts that only the fighter's have to honor) so that they don't have leverage over the UFC after the show airs.

So I imagine Kimbo has a contract and I bet it pays more than $100g over 3 years and he will fight in the UFC.

Even if he get stopped, Dana will say he proved him wrong and impressed Rampage and lost to the most experienced guy in the house, . . . . and will still be in the UFC

Kimbo has said in an interview on Sherdog that this was one of his best fights. I'm looking forward to it.

Oh yeah? I actually think they are letting people talk too much (Rashad, Rampage) about a fight that happened a long time ago. I guess we don't know who won, but I get the impression Nelson did from all I hear.

Yeah, I have that same impression. I also agree that too much talk has already surfaced. Just let us be suprised (or not) as viewers.

What Kimbo has done that is more than half way decent is provide ratings.
Assuming he is not embarassed by Nelson, but doesn't win it makes sense for the UFC to keep him.

Put him against a lower level fighter from the house on the Ultimate Finale, and he win have the chance to win or at least look respectable loosing.

After that he can be a name for the next up and coming heavy to beat or there could be a rematch with Petruzcelli. Either way the UFC will (and should) milk him for ratings $.

I am assuming that he never turns into a top quality UFC level fighter. After enough loses he will retire and get dropped.

It will beinteresting to see his paydays if he does fight in a UFC event.
