Kos needs to be of the mind set, wrestle first, fight second, if he is going to beat GSP.
I don't agree - he needs to stuff takedowns and would win the fight if he gets them. I'm not saying that's all he needs, but he said before that fight he stopped training wrestling; people can catch up to you

Condit lost to Kampman, so I would rule him out of beating Fitch or Kos, let alone being ranked higher. Swick has done more against top oponents, so he does not get the benefit from me. He is an intense guy, but he poses little threat to the top guys. He is too weak imo. His striking is not dangerous nor is he a threat to sub them. He does well enough to stay in the fight, thats it.

I could see Swick beat GSP on a special day. He is a good striker. However, I doubt he can avoid the mat long enough. Fitch was outclassed in all positions. However I have seen more lopsided rematches go the other way.

Kos, I would agree has the best chance. I just don't like him abondoning his wrestling as much as he has. Sure he has gotten pretty darn good. But come on, he is not near a K1 level striker. He is pretty close to worldclass in wrestling. Big difference.
Look at Gray Maynard. His striking is miles better than it used to be. He did pretty darn good boxing Huerta. But he risked too much staying on his feet. He should have done what he did in round 3, in round 1 & 2.

Anyhow, I still hold hope that Kos can outwrestle GSP. It could be the mma/wrestling combination that was challenging for him. But I have to believe he is much better at it now.

Claudale his issue is getting out of position, not that he doesn't know how to stuff take downs. His other issue is not properly setting the takedowns up, and instead just trying to swing for the fences. That Trigg knock out may have just set his career back 2 years. Now he's likely to completely abandon his wreslting and depend on knocking people out. You can't make a horse drink the water Claudale.

I think Kos would do well against anyone, including GSP, if he did wrestle first and then gnp. The thing is, I just don't see him beating Fitch or GSP. Hanging in there, yes, but not winning. I think Fitch has the best chance to beat GSP because he's already fought him. He knows what he did wrong and will have a better gameplan for the next time. I just hope Kos doesn't fight Hughes next because I am a Hughes fan and even I know he's not good enough to beat a Kos anymore.

Your forgetting Kos fought GSP first. Kos is a better wrestler than Fitch and a more dangerous striker. I have to say Kos is the bigger threat.

Agree. Koscheck also won a round (I guess Fitch did too, but I don't recall him doing much in any of those 5 rounds)

Yes I did forget about the Kos vs. GSP fight. But I still think Fitch is the better fighter. Kos is a better wrestler on a wrestling mat, but he rarely uses it anymore. He is getting ko happy and forgetting what got him there. Fitch still does what got him there only now he does it better. Maybe someone could help me on this because I'm not sure, but Fitch also looks to be much longer than either Kos or GSP. At AKA he should be able to turn that into an advantage on the feet as long as he watches for the takedown.
