Very entertaining night of fights. Awesome ko by marquardt, all the talk about how maia was going to sub marquardt as soon as it hit the ground went out the window as maia went 360 helicoptering through the air landing on his head. Nate has lived up to his nickname since losing to silva. Hard to deny him a title shot but henderson is worthy as well, a fight between them would be great. Nog looked like his old self. Claudale was ready to make the pick but could not stick to his guns. Randy was game but was outgunned, I think he should hang it up. Poor jardine. He is a tough guy but has an extremely suspect chin. Like arlovski its a bad thing to have when you are fighting the big boys and like to strike. Aaron simpson is for real. He is a great wrestler, very athletic, and has serious power in his hands. He does a great job of going right from his strikes into a takedown. Take note Rosholt. Speaking of rosholt that was a nice win for him. He does have a good chin and his striking did look better but he still has a long way to go. He doesnt seem to dominate people with his wrestling the way you think he would. Still though it was a pretty slick sub, and a gritty performance. Todd Duffee is a monster. Tim hague needs to learn boxing technique 101.

I don't think Jardine has a really bad chin, he's just susceptible to an all-out aggressive attack (Wanderlei, Houston Alexander, and now Thiago). He took big shots from Liddell and Rampage without looking like a murder victim, but those three guys made him look like he needed a chalk outline. Also, Nate is awesome.

Rosholt gave Leben too much respect in round 1 & 2 and lost both rounds IMO. I'd like to see him get more aggressive without being reckless. More takedowns. Marquardt threw a (one) nice punch. If Nate is the best the UFC has to put across from Silva, Silva will be the champ forever. Branden Vera looked very technically sound. He's ready for the next level. Randy is the ultimate stud. Nog looked like he could give Lestner a good challenge. He's definitely not the same guy who lost to Mir. Overall, one of the more entertaining events that I've seen in a while.

| MMA Mod Supreme | That speaks more to how great silva is as Marquardt is an absolute beast. Ko power, dynamic striker, good wrestler, black belt in bjj, one of the biggest strongest middlweights, and a great gas tank.

To be fair, Marquardt didn't really get a chance to impress me. I feel like he is one of the guys that the UFC is trying to force feed to the fans. It seems like he's been around forever and has had his opportunities. In another time or at another weight, he would be fighting in untelevised fights. Just my opinion.

Nate's first fighti nthe UFC was in 2006. He's only lost twice, once only based on penalties (one of them being quite dubious), and since his loss to Anderson Silva, he's become a different fighter. Not saying he'll beat Anderson, of course, but the guy is a beast.

What other time? This is the best version of fighters that we have seen. At another time he would have been champ as Silva looks unbeatable right now. Obviously you are entitled to your opinion just curious if you have seen some of his recent fights. He completed destroyed gouveia, knocked out kampman in the first round, beat up leites but lost due to penalty points, and submitted horn. All of that happened post title fight against silva. Previous to the fight with silva he was 4-0 in the ufc.

| Olympic Champ | It had to happen eventually. Marq is the man, I'm a huge fan of him. If there was no Anderson Silva, I firmly believe he'd be a dominant champion. I want o see Marq-Silva II!
