GSP didn't try to take Serra down. I think at the time, he figured he could get submitted on the ground and he could beat him standing pretty easily.

I also think that's why BJ beat him so badly in the first round in their first fight.

Now I think no one has enough bjj skills to scare GSP from going for an immediate takedown.
