LOL - without a doubt, GSP would take the count down and hold him down. So if they fought (which they won't), GSP wins easily. I don't see the Count landing any punches before getting taken down.

It doesn't make sense for GSP to fight anyone but a ranked 185 pounder - the Spider - Irving was a poorly pieced together matchup.

OBC, no mention of any gynomastic submissions for GSP vs. the Spider? Surely, the Frenchman could choke out Silva with his chemically altered bosoms.
    I heart Jazzy B. White.

Looking at the divisional rankings I don't see any real interesting matches for GSP at 170:

    1. Georges St. Pierre
    2. Jon Fitch
    3. Jake Shields
    4. Thiago Alves
    5. Josh Koscheck
    6. Matt Hughes
    7. Martin Kampmann
    8. Carlos Condit
    9. Mike Swick
    10. Nick Thompson

He has beaten on the top UFC guys fairly easily and I don't see Kampman or Swick presenting a serious challenge to him

It does make sense Claudale. You challenge him with oppoennts that are bigger than him and that he hasn't already defeated. As pointed out in the WW rankings, there aren't any compelling match ups left for him. That doesn't mean feed him to Anderson. Lets see what he can do with guys like Leban or Rosholt, maybe even the Count. If he can handle any of those guys, you move him up against an Okami or Wanderlei. If he keeps winning, go ahead and let him try his luck with the Spider.
    Lets go Brent!

I think he'd cruise through all of them until getting to AS; of course Wanderlei could knock his head off, but I think he'd be taken down too easily to do that.

gsp should fight up a weight considering he faced penn who went up. silva went up. it's time for gsp to take one for the team and challenge himself at the same time.

I agree, take a risk. Losing up a weight is no big deal. Not like he's a small 170 pounder or anything.

I think gsp would run through most 185 lbers.

Me too. And he's already beaten the best 170 pounders easily. I'm not really interested in any of his upcoming fights, as no one can stop his takedowns. Maybe Johnie can stuff them
