    To be successful in MMA, best arts are Brazilian Ju-Jitsu and Muy Thai.
    You also need wrestling which most don't think of as a martial art.

    I think it depends on what your strength is. If you are a wrestler you need to have great submission defense, a strong top game, and solid striking defense. Its not as essential to be a great kick boxer or an amazing submission fighter off your back.

    If you are a kickboxer you need great takedown defense and the ability to get back to your feet if taken down.

    If you are bjj fighter you need to develop takedowns.

    It would be great to strong in every aspect but fighters need to figure out their style and strengths and build around that.

    Exactly.
    As a wrestler, I mainly work on my submissions and gnp from the top as well as some some bottom defense and striking defense. I was sort of born as a good boxer so I don't have to work on that too much to be able to hold my own in the ring.
