Default Some details on Fedor's Strikeforce contract

It's a bad translation from Russian, but from what I can tell and what is posted, they intend for his fights to air on the Showtime cards, no PPV's. It's a 3 fight deal (coincidentally the length of his deal with M-1?). No real monetary terms discussed.

Vadim Finkelstein to mixfight.ru (automated translation, broken english somewhere)

Finkelstein, in which he comments on the signing of a contract between the M-1 Global and Strikeforce and tells about some of the details and the future of the Union.

mixfight.ru: When it was decided that collaboration?

Vadim Finkelstein: We have negotiated in America, today signed a contract. We Sergei Matvienko decided to follow the path of MMA development and agreed on the full partnership between M-1 Global, and Strikeforce.

mixfight.ru: You talked about the negotiations with various organizations, including the promouterskimi boxing. Why Strikeforce?

Vadim Finkelstein: As of today, this is one of the most stable organizations. She has many years of experience in the world of mixed arts and each year grows and develops. She does not lose money, and earns. During the years of existence, the Strikeforce sponsors have permanent and ongoing audience. As well as contracts with the leading TV channels. It employs.
We took a long time to Strikeforce, as an organization with which to work. I have long been aware of livestock Coker, he was a good man and worthy partner in the business.

mixfight.ru: What would the world association of MMA M-1 Global and Strikeforce?

Vadim Finkelstein: Joining M-1 Global and Strikeforce will entail a strong union. We have established relationships with TV channels in Russia, Europe and Asia, among them - the major American television networks - CBS and Showtime. Our joint tournaments will be broadcast on these channels. This is a big step in the development of MMA.

mixfight.ru: What are the advantages for Fedor has this union?

Vadim Finkelstein: Fedor will become even more popular in America. Do Strikeforce has an advantage over TV coverage of UFC: UFC show on TV Spyke. In that audience of 50-60 million, with Strikeforce, only the CBS television audience of 115 million. Fedor will be popular for the whole world, and we will be able to continue the development of hybrid arts.

mixfight.ru: How many tournaments will hold a M-1 and Strikeforce co or is it open-ended contract?

Vadim Finkelstein: There is agreement on the three shows. If they will be successful, we certainly will continue to cooperate.

    mixfight.ru: When the first tournament?

Vadim Finkelstein: First place in a few months, we need time to prepare. The date of the first and second tournaments, we'll let a little later.

mixfight.ru: Who will be the next opponent Fedor?

Vadim Finkelstein: I still can not answer this question. We are exploring all possible options to please fans of Fedor.
By the way, this fight will be available to all fans, as will be shown free on Showtime, and not only on pay TV. In Russia, it will show on NTV Plus broadcast live, and the first channel over time.

mixfight.ru: What bargain with Strikeforce, than with the UFC?

Vadim Finkelstein: UFC - one of the best organizations. Working with them we would have been interesting. But unfortunately, she just wants to pick up the best fighters. In collaboration with Strikeforce, we see a great advantage. They have a TV more than three times than in the UFC. Give us time, and you will see a new, powerful and entertaining fighters, who will act in our show.
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

I'm excited to see Fedor's first fight in the cage. I would love to see him take on a number of different opponents. I suppose it doens't really matter. Should he take a loss, we can expect a huge celebration from Mr. Dana White. I can't say that I would blame him.

I too am interested in seeing how he does in a cage. I am willing to bet that he makes the transition rather easily.

also, did Vadim actually refer to Scott Coker as livestock?

If Fedor takes a loss at Strikeforce, not only will Dana pitch a tent in his pants, but it will also prove that Fedor never really deserved the title fight White was offering him.

    Bwahahahahahahaha!

This kid fits in this place just fine. Welcome aboard mhs189.

And if Fedor gets derailed, it will be like riding down a bumpy road on a bicycle with no seat, (for M1).
