Goldenboy has posted a lot of credible stuff.. he was the one that broke Aleks failing the blood test with hep B and Big Daddy taking his place. He's a good dude and Has teh connections.
Dabigchet brought up the idea of Randy vs Brock for the HW title then fight against winner of Mir/Nog. Makes a lot of sense. After all the attention brought because of Randy's debacle and Brock's already growing popularity.. it'd be the biggest UFC in terms of buys to date I'd bet.
That would mean Nog would have to wait for another championship fight before he got his shot?
I still doubt it. Lesnar is a bad matchup for Randy who deliberately burned his bridges with the UFC.
He said only Fedor makes sense at this stage in his career, so I don't see why Mir (2-1 in mma) makes sense. Fighting Nog would make more sense if he wanted to fight someone with legendary status.

cl - They've already scheduled Mir/Nog and did the whole TUF8 season as a buildup to that. So that fight has to happen now & if Mir wins, then he deserves the shot against winner of Brock/Randy (if that also happens). It's not really a matter of being able to pick a matchup at this point or give Nog the first shot at Randy if they are now able to get Randy back into the Octagon. If he's agreed to fight, they're going to strike while that iron is hot before he changes his mind. They pretty much have to do it this way given the current situation.

this would be horrible. Randy should be fighting the winner of Nog/Mir.
I dont think Randy is worried about fighting Nog considering he turned that fight down already. He is worried about making a fat pay day and he would definitely get that in a fight with Lesnar.
mmabay is reporting this could be announced at UFC 88. I do not know how reliable the site is but they did report Sherk vs. Griffin a month or so before I saw it reported anywhere else.
I would be surprised if Randy dropped all his beefs to come up with a payday. Although I wouldn't be too surprised if he fights in the UFC to get them to drop their lawsuit against him.
Maybe he knows he can't fight outside the UFC and will just hope Fedor shows up, but I doubt Fedor will sign with the UFC - sooner see him returning to Japan

Randy should have accepted the fight with nog 8 months ago then \"pulled a hammy\" a minute into the fight thus ending his contract with the UFC.
I don't think that would have ended his contract; only the UFC gets the option to get out of a contract when a fighter loses.
Also, he has 2 fights left and if he is champion after the second fight, the contract renews automatically.
Who knows of course, but I can't see Randy doing it just for money.

Oh sorry I thought he only had one fight left.
I think everyone has a price. I mean he has had good relations with the UFC in the past and this breakup had alot to do with money anyway so if they offered him a kings ransom I could see him doing it.
