Maybe Fedor is wise enough to know he is not going to be bashing heads forever and it is only a matter of time before he loses to somebody (such is the nature of MMA). His value is at its peak right now

As Adolph points out, the Russians have a history of success with the scorched earth policy. The UFC has recently been able to roll right through weaker organizations and is becoming overconfident, similar to the Nazis with thier blitzkrieg through Poland and France. Dana might not want to become involved in a land war with the Russians.

Kudos to Mr. Emelianenko for his business sense and toughness inside and outside the ring.

    ummm-yeah...those are good analogies.

Have you ever seen an M-1 event? I'm sure the UFC is shaking in their boots.

Is this an MMA forum or an online history class?

haha, i think I just learned more about the World Wars reading this thread than I learned in WH II. Maybe we should start a new category on the forum where we compare each major fight to a past war. Then we can all get together and sip tea while watching Three's Company.

I typically sip tea at 2 pm daily. That wouldn't be a bad idea, but I much rather prefer to take in some classical music in the back ground. No slight on Jack Tripper, Crissy snow or Janet Wood, but i just don't much care for that show since they did away with the Ropers.

no sh*t, that show jumped the shark when they brought in Mr. Furley and Lana.

I Love Furley, it just seemed like they went away from their bread and butter a little in trying to incorporate him more into the mix. Larry Dallas was great, would love to have seen him be more involved with the story line. I always thought he was going to nail Cyndi, (Chrissy's cousin). Those were the days...
