I read something on sherdog and maybe Jers can confirm but apparently part of the 30 mil package also included that UFC would get likeness rights during and after the contract. that could go into the issue that M-1 basically loses out on him and is trying to recoup their loss.

but either way M-1 the negotiator still sucks.

That stuff is the UFC's fault (if true) - stop trying to control people for life. Same thing if we find out the loss clause and renewal clause became a concern. Everything else is M-1s fault, they can't expect their contractual rights to one guy to result in the UFC treating them as an equal in a joint venture.

The bottom line is Fedor does not want to fight in the UFC. The demands are so outrageous, that's quite obvious. This is a ploy to get Fedor's name in the media and give free exposure to M1. Mission accomplished. Now M1 can negotiate in good faith with everybody else. The UFC never had a chance.

Maybe - why meet with someone and then turn down an offer than is much more than anyone else can or would provide.

Like you said, story is UFC didn't get the bish fish and in failing, more people have heard of the big fish.

I noticed Dana's b!tch Iole said nothing about this today.

Instead he writes this spoon-fed-from-Dana story. This is just an add:

Time for UFC and WEC to join forces

Torres is, for my money, the finest pound-for-pound fighter in the sport. He’ll defend his WEC bantamweight title against Brian Bowles on Aug. 9 in Las Vegas in a card that will be nationally televised on the cable channel Versus.

The WEC has three weight classes, at 135, 145 and 155 pounds. The UFC starts at 155 and includes 170, 185, 205 and heavyweight.

Can't make it more obvious that he's just an informercial; he wrote this 2 days ago and can't follow up on it:

Fedor Emelianenko will make a grievous mistake if he opts to sign with any mixed martial arts organization other than the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

I'm really curious to hear what Dana White has to say on Friday. I think we've all learned a valuable lesson in this and that's that Dana White hasn't been as dishonest with us as some suspected. We know now that he's been telling us the truth all along. Fedor just doesn't want to fight the best fighters in the world and thus he wont sign with the UFC.

not true, he has already fought the best fighters in the world(with the exception of Randy), in their prime when Pride was alive.

That's not necessarilyu true either. He fought Cro Cop and Noguiera. They fought all the other contenders, especially Nogueira did.
