dana was not lying when he said they were crazy russians. A more reasonable offer would have been to pay the the costs for the show and take none of the profit. The ufc would still not have accepted but actually asking to split the profits is insane.

Looks like they are avoiding the UFC because they fear Fedor will lose at some point.

No one will have to come up with terms like this (even if you ignore the amount of money being offered).

Look forward to the next Fedor interview to see if something was left out, because he looks bad here.

The strikeforce in comparison to the ufc offer is a joke. 500k from strikeforce or 5 million from ufc, 100 dollars from strike force ppv percentanges or a million plus from ufc.

Don't forget this deal is about M-1, . M-1 owns rights to Fedor right now, so while the UFC deal is sweet for Fedor, I am learning that it needs to be sweet for M-1 more importantly.

I guess M-1 thinks if the UFC gets Fedor, than they have no chance of being a global competitor in the future. It's stupid, but that seems to be their motive.

Agreed leglace, as i have been saying m-1 doesnt care about fedor they care about their own agenda. I am sure they are scared he would lose in the ufc, and since he is their meal ticket they wont let that happen.

It is about them if they are obligated to pay Fedor some fixed amount.

I initially thought it was about being scared he'd lose, but now I think if they take the money, they think they've thrown in the towel as far as their global MMA plans are concerned.

they signed Fedor years ago and I never hear about them, so I'm sure nothing will ever materialize anyways.

They would get more exposure just plastering their name all over fedor then they would copromoting with strikeforce or doing their own shows.

I understand that they need to push their own business if they are paying fedor but as a fights manager and contract negotiator they still have obligation to look out for his best interest as well. Turning down a thirty million plus deal with the biggest most recognizable org in the world is terrible on their part.
