Thread: Fedor and UFC cant agree to terms

Default Fedor and UFC cant agree to terms

    From Fedors press conference today:
UFC made Fedor a "very good" offer...to which M1 made counter offer: counter promotion. UFC lawyers took offer "very quietly."

"The offer made by the UFC is not interesting for us" says Fedor

Where are these comments coming from? Summary is a little hard to follow.

This is saying the UFC made an effort to Fedor through M-1 and M-1 made a counter offer to the UFC?

Fedor and his people have to know the UFC will never accept a co-promoted fight. I'm beginning to wonder if Fedor isn't in these 'negotiations' just to get his name in the press in the US. Dana would be a fool to do a co-promoted card and give another org that kind of press. Fedor's people (along with the rest of the free world) must know that.

thanks, I guess he's tying into a phone.

Are they related to that EA game that the UFC was worried about? Says it here.

Sounds like he's not coming. Ever

Only way fedor would agree to fight for ufc is if they co-promote with m-1. Translation fedor will never fight for the ufc.

There you have it. You can't put this one on Dana. The UFC made a very good offer and I don't think the UFC needs Fedor one bit. I truly believe Dana White wanted to get him signed for the fans and for the love of the sport. Brock is the PPV King and it's foolish to bring a guy in to potentially knock him off, who can't sell PPV's.

This was all about finding out who the best guy in the Heavyweight division is and for giving back to the fans what they've always wanted. Kudos Mr. Dana White, this one's on Fedor.

I am blaming Fedor more at this moment, the co promotion idea seemed to go away and I empathized with Fedor's comments about the one sided contract

Of course, on the flip side, other organizations have done deals with M-1 and if that was a "copromotion" than I didn't even notice it.

Anyways, the $ offered will be good and Fedor will take a lot of heat for turning down the highest bidder.

Fedor brings very little business wise to the UFC. Similar to cro-cop coming over (who was this huge pride star that was going to mop up the HW division), he isn't a draw to the mainstream crowd.

Fedor won't make any big name for himself in the MAINSTREAM of the sport if he doesn't fight in the ufc. affliction's ppv numbers show that...
