And, speaking of the sherdog article, I can't believe they actually called Kimbo an "icon" and equated him to Shamrock (ie, "the two icons"). He may be an icon but he's not an icon for the same reason as Ken - so I think that phrase is misleading and feeds into the Kimbo is a great MMA fighter myth.

Looks like the MMA would have a few problems getting a 44 year old who's gotten his butt kicked forever -it seems -liscensed for this match -Shamrock is through -have Kimbo fight Ortiz -AS IF .

Adolf, that's funny.

Metsfan, Ken seems to make dumb decisions but if he believes what he says, he's fighting him the worst way possible. Punching power is Kimbo's #1 asset.

Unfortunately for Ken, everyone knows the submissions he likes from years of doing the same ones. Kimbo will train them and Ken will likely go for the same ones he's been doing for years (heel hook, knee bar) and Kimbo will be ready

You can't really read into what Ken says prior to the fihgts. Listen to all his big talk prior to every Tito fight, even trying to attack the HB Bad Boy during the filming of the Ultimate Fighter. Ken is a pro wrestler and loves the mic. He gets on there and says what he has to say in order to hype his fight.

Bottom line is he'll look to win in impressive fashion, in order to warrant more big pay days, before finally calling it a career. He knows that if he goes out there and wrestles Kimbo and beats the company star in an uninspiring effort, no one will have the use for him and he will be forgotten.

If he goes out there and mixes it up with Slice, and the world sees him drop the face of MMA, he will instantly be in demand. Not hard to figure out what Shamrock will do out there. Look for fireworks and make sure you bet on Mr. Kimbo Slice.
