Franklin vs. Hendo II at UFC 103
Not sure why they're having the rematch this early, but damn, take a look at this card:
Dan Henderson vs. Rich Franklin
Mirko Cro Cop vs. Junior Dos Santos
Mike Swick vs. Martin Kampmann
Tyson Griffin Vs. Hermes Franca
Josh Koscheck Vs. Frank Trigg
That's a stacked card.

What? That's ridiculous because if Dan loses he won't get a title shot and no one wants to see Franklin fight Anderson again (he's afraid of him). I don't get it, although I think they are two of the top guys, I don't see why we need a rematch

What a terrible fight. It wasnt that long ago, it was a close good fight but it wasnt that controversial, and it doesnt really do anything for either guy. Henderson already beat franklin so it doesnt help him to beat him again, and franklin is no longer at mw so he should be fighting guys at lhw.

Hendo said if he wasn't going to get a MW title shot, then he wanted a fight at 205. I'm with you that the fight doesn't make much sense, but it's still going to be a good fight.

Re: Franklin vs. Hendo II at UFC 103
One of the problems with the first fight was that it was a three round fight. I think they are so evenly matched that it will be another close decision.
I hate seeing two guys i like fight each other particularly when there is not much to gain. Franklin would benefit from beating a top ranked lhw and henderson would have a strong claim for a mw shot if he were to beat another top ten lhw as opposed to someone he already beat this year.

I agree. I think part of the problem is that the UFC isn't sure what to do with either guy. I don't think they're interested in Hendo-Anderson, even though I think he deserves another shot. Hell, Rich got two shots, and he got annihilated. Dan did better then that. Rich is at 205 now, and is doing quite well. I'd pick him over several LHW's in a fight, and he has a built in story-line to set up a fight where he gets beatdown by Machida again.

Yea i dont think there is a ton of excitement for a henderson vs. silva 2. Franklin only got the second shot because he was the former champ and the division was so thin.

Why wouldn't they be interested in Dan? He went after Anderson the first time and won a round. That's more than anyone else can say. I think he's the most obvious opponent.
Seems poorly thought out. Why not instead have Rich fight Bisping in England, he doesn't have an opponent yet.

And nothing against Franlin, but I would like to see Dan lay him out too. He'd really make his case if he did that. IMO, he won the first 2 rounds and took the 3rd round off, giving it to Franklin. In Pride he'd often do as little as possible to get his hand raised, and it backfired in the GP.
