The best fight to me would be machida vs. silva but its ashame they are friends.
LOL, that fight could result in both fighters just standing there, staring at each other.

It wasn't easy at all PJ. GSP conceded that he was in danger of being in serious trouble due to Alves causing his groin to pull while working against GSP's guard. An injured GSP just did manage to escape out of there and he admitted that himself.

I don't see why everyone is dissing GSP for Silva. Everyone is talking about how Pierre would get knocked out, etc. The two haven't even freaking faught yet. Sure you can make your predictions, but you'll never know unless it happens. I remember everyone talking about how he was going to knock out Serra in their fight. That certainly didn't happened. Seemed to be the other way around if you ask me.

He TKO'd Serra. Same difference.

True it was not easy for GSP to fight through the pain but in terms of dealing with alves devastating striking and takedown defense it was easy.

He would be KOd if he traded with him, but he won't trade with him. He'll go for the first possible takedown and lay on him as cautiously as possible for yet another 5 round snoozer.
Penn almost beat GSP (did more damage) and Serra was able to KO him because he respected their submissions and was reluctant to take them down. Now he'll take anyone down and imo is too careful on top to end fights and he's becoming boring (albeit dominant)

Claudale damage is not part of the criteria as it is too subjective. How do you define damage? Is it a lot of blood or bruising? You could get hit by a grazing punch and get busted wide open but you could also land a lot more flush punches that truly hurt the opponent but he has no marks.
Penn bloodied gsps nose with one punch that caught the tip, but imo gsp clearly won the fight.
He got knocked out by serra after taking a hit to the back of the head. other than that his chin has held up just fine.

Also gsp completely outstruck alves including having a knockdown. If we add in claudales damage criteria alves face looked pretty bad and gsp looked pretty clean.
