bottom line people buy ufc ppv events and when fedor headlines events in america it just does not sell.

he'd benefit from the UFC (Dana) hyping him up, but no reason to think he'd soar to the top right away. The UFC has lots of famous fighters, many of which were on TUF (contestant or coach).

Of course Dana said he wants the best fights in the UFC and they did make an honest effort in terms of dollars to get him, just won't change the standard contract since others would want that too.

Notice Dana never offers any specific UFC fighter to face him (unlike his reaction to other Pride champs in the Pride days)

If fedor kept up his winning and was the ufc heavyweight champ is popularity and exposure would increase tenfold.

yes - plus the UFC owns the rights to all his Pride highlights, so Affliction can't promote him with those.

If Fedor was in WWE prior to MMA, he wouldnt have a problem selling PPV's. theres a lot more of those fans than there are knowledgable MMA fans like us.
