Thread: Mark Coleman

    Default Mark Coleman

I love that guy. He burst on the scene and was wiping people out. The head buts were insane. He took people down and just butted them into oblivion. Just when it looked like he may be having some problems, he goes over to Pride and wins the Grand Prix. Awesome job.

With that said, I really wish he could make money doing something else and walk away from MMA. Here's a pic of him getting ready for the up coming fight against Bonner.

It hurts to see him in that shape, up against a young guy who is fighting for his UFC career. I wish Coleman the best and hope he gets out of there uninjured. I really don't care about wins and losses where he's concerned any more. I just want to see him avoid injury.

Had to get that off my chest.

LOL - he's still pretty ripped even if he has to cut back on some of his favorite supplements.

I also like him but I question why the UFC is using him. He hasn't been impressive in a long time and worst of all, he can't fight for 15 minutes. I guess they can't use any of the other early legends? Ken, Frank, Royce, Dan or even Frye? I would think Royce would do it even though he'd demand a bigger payday.

If he was in good shape, he'd take Bonnar down all 3 rounds and win (unless he's subbed). Instead he'll need to take breaks where he uses his face to block punches.

    LOL - of course.

If you put this picture next to the one of Dana on the cover of the UFC mag, Dana would be favored 5-1

This is all very sad and It bothers me that Coleman is being made fun of. The man isn't aging well and it doesn't look good for him on the 11th. Why are they even granting him a license any more? He hasn't won a fight in years.

I agree Adolf.. It is very difficult to see someone that you root for hang on too long. I have a feeling that I am going to be starting a similar thread about my man Wanderlei. Although, I think that he will do well at 185, there is alot of mileage on his body. The same goes for Coleman. Those Pride tournaments with 3 fights in a night have to take a major toll on your body. That may explain some of the supplement choices the Pride fighters made. I really hope that he represents himself well against Bonner.
