I won't give him major props if he wins a 3 round main event where neigher guy is damaged at all. "Picking him apart" = landing jabs as he is circling back. Hopefully Dan takes him down.

My issue with Dan is outside of the bombs he throws most of the fight, he always tries to do as little as possible to win fights. I thought that mainy times - second time with Bustamante, both times with Masaki, Franklin (won the first 2 and took the third round off).

Yea thats why i think a main event should be five rounders. Actually i wish all fights were five rounds.

Henderson is a great fighter but he hasnt developed enough ways to finish a fight. He isnt going to put a bunch of combos together to beat you and finish you off, he isnt going to sub you, he is either going to land a big punch or win by decision.

5 rounders backfires in a boring match or if the guys gas.

There are downsides to every rule change I think this would be a better way of finding out who the better fighter is.

I'm not sure about that. It may tell us who is better at employing tactics into their game plan is. If you only give them 5 minutes to fight, you find out who is better. If you give them an infinite amount, things like who can hold on for 10 hours comes into play.

I dont think 5 minutes lets you know who the better fighter is. I think it fight show who the more phsyically skilled fighter is. But tactics, strategy, endurance, and your abiliy adapt during a fight are all part of a fighters overall ability.

I would not want an infinite time limit, but just in comparison between a 3 round and a 5 round i think it would help with these close fights where guys know they just have to eke out 2 of 3. I think it is easier to edge out two close rounds than it is 3. If you are playing it safe eventually it might backfire on you.
