Star He's Back: Kimbo Slice Slated for The Ultimate Fighter's 10th Season

Yahoo MMA writer Kevin Iole is reporting tonight that the heavyweights-only season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter is going to feature a pretty big name—one that has already main evented two prime time specials and was featured on the cover of ESPN The Magazine.

    That's right.

Kevin Ferguson, aka the controversial Kimbo Slice, will be one of the 16 fighters on the show. This is the same fighter that UFC President Dana White has been less than flattering in discussing and previously had challenged to appear on the show.

Slice couldn't come to terms with Strikeforce, who recently purchased a slew of fighter contracts from his old employer, EliteXC.

Without a doubt, his addition will have his critics buzzing and the gawkers wondering if he can fulfill the huge promise sold by Gary Shaw and EliteXC in 2008.

Media day is Tuesday and White is promising more surprises for what is already promising to be an eventful 10th season.

Josh Nason—josh [at] ropesringandcage [dot com]—has published MMA, wrestling and boxing blog Ropes, Ring and Cage.com since 2007. He has been a contributor to Fight Magazine since January 2009 and Bleacher Report since 2008.

LOL. I'm sure he's being paid btw.

Normal TUF enter into contracts before the show (that only they have to honor with the whole loss situation) that puts them on a fixed payscale. I bet Dana is paying him to do the show and he will get a big contract if he wins the show (not what the others will get).

VAK - hope you still don't think Dana's all about fairness and his word. He ranted to no end about Kimbo (when he is just as quick to look for ratings - which is what Lesnar and Shamrock were used for). I remember you thought he was being fair for kicking JT off the show and we only have to look at Browning to see he has different standards for different people (and then he puts Brownings brother on the show).

"it's a big double standard," "I'm sure if I were the ex-middleweight champion, I could get away with stuff. I'm sure if I would have done (what Jackson did), I'd be banned."
"I don?t give a f_ck about money, bro. Believe me when I tell you that." Dana White
