Of course Affliction would benefit from the attention but if Dana won, it might bring him piece of mind. He wants tough guy recognition so badly.
    I agree 100%.

I think he acts the tough guy because hes trying to make up for being a pu*sy and running away from Boston the way he did.

LOL, he thought the Mafia was trying to kill him. I'd have run, too. And I wouldn't feel like a pussy for it either.

I don't think Dana suffers from a lack of peace of mind. He's like 60 lbs. heavier then Atencio. What exactly would Dana ripping off Atencio's arms and beating him to death with them prove? It's a lose-lose for Dana. If he wins, he just beat up a smaller dude AND he gave Affliction exposure. If he loses, he got beat by a smaller dude AND he gave Affliction even better exposure.

Dana's not that tall, I'm sure he could get somewhat close, and Tom asked for the fight in the first place, he couldn't blame it on something he knew coming into it.

I really think he has a case of penis envy about training and being around fighters without actually having anything to show himself. He's more likely to put a fighter down than he is to compliment them (especially when they aren't fighters under a UFC contract). always patting himself on the back and loves the infomercial like pieces about the UFC and how much he did for them and how he is a boxer and tough guy.

Don't usually comment on the Dana threads, but Dana is the consumate unprofessional, which is the main reason people react so strongly to him.
His vulgarity and attitude are not fitting for a company president, the whole Tito boxing challenge was too embarassing to watch.

BTW, the whole I had to leave town because the mafia drove me out, does not sound plausible coming from him. I think it is just another attempt to boost his tough guy image.

    LOL +1.

I actually forgot that he supposedly needed to leave Boston (isn't he from Connecticut anyways?)

I remember the MSN special on the UFC (an infomercial) they describe Dana the way you'd describe a body builder and they say he looks like a UFC champion himself.

Then in the Tito special his friends vouch for how tough he was in boxing (minus any video of this soon to be superstar) and he talks about getting in a street fight with like 10 guys at the same time - I guess he forgot to show us the scars.
