Jon Jones, who has defended the UFC light heavyweight title with submissions in three of his past four fights, believes jiu-jitsu is his weakness.
While Jones has been extremely successful offensively with his submission, the 205-pound champion did nearly succumb to an armbar in his most recent bout against now-middleweight contender Vitor Belfort.
Unsurprisingly, that close call appears to have woken up the dominant titleholder to the idea of seeking new ways to improve his submission defense. One way he is apparently trying to accomplish that is to begin more traditional jiu-jitsu training.

The gym in the background of the image linked to Jones' tweet is evidently Gracie Barra New Mexico, a jiu-jitsu school led by three-time no-gi world champion Roberto Alencar.

It has long been opined that Jones is the most physically gifted fighter in UFC history. Should he combine his athleticism, strong wrestling background and improving striking with a high-level offensive and defensive jiu-jitsu game, he might truly become unstoppable and become one of the best to ever grace the Octagon.
While he's had his personal setbacks, Jones certainly has the right mental attitude when it comes to his profession.

Jones is scheduled to defend the light heavyweight belt for a record-tying fifth time against Chael Sonnen in April. The Jones-Sonnen matchup will headline UFC 159, which will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
Currently tied with Chuck Liddell and Frank Shamrock for second in consecutive UFC light heavyweight title defenses, Jones would even himself with Tito Ortiz should he beat Sonnen next month.
