Dan Henderson made the main event a memorable one in Saturday night's Strikeforce show in St. Louis.

Henderson defeated Renato "Babalu" Sobral with a first round knockout, using a left hook that sent him backwards. Sobral tried for a single-leg takedown on Henderson, who remained standing and pounded away with rights to Sobral's head to end the fight.

Referee John McCarthy stepped in and stopped the fight, which went only one minute, 53 seconds. The 40-year-old Henderson improved to 26-8. It was his first fight back at 205 pounds after spending the past three years at middleweight.

"I prepared for this fight and my body feels a little better than it has in a long time," Henderson told mmafighting.com. "I knew it would come, but it came a little faster than I expected."

MMA fans should remember Henderson quite well. He was a former UFC star and Pride champion. Henderson said he would prefer to stay at 205, but could go back down to 185 if that's what Strikeforce would prefer.
