UFC To Make Its Return To Australia For UFC 127: Lytle Vs. Condit Possible?
Finally, the UFC has come back to Australia!
Well, now that my ode to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is out of the way, I guess now would be a good time to talk about that Chris Lytle-Carlos Condit fight I talked about earlier.
MMA Junkie reports that the UFC may be back in the Land of the Aussies for their 127th event and that the Lytle-Condit bout may find a spot on the card.
Though news about the February 27th event—now presumably February 26th for US fans, due to time difference—was previously unknown, and although the event has yet to be announced, it's clear that the UFC is wasting no time in shaping up what will be the second February event card for the UFC.
The last time that the UFC was in Australia was when Antonio Minotauro Nogueira faced-off against Cain Velasquez in a UFC 110 heavyweight bout that set in motion the events that led to Velasquez beating now former Heavyweight king of the UFC, Brock Lesnar.
On the same card, UFC lightweight favorites George Sotiropoulos and Joe "Daddy" Stevenson took each other three rounds in the Fight of the Night, which saw Sotiropoulos beat Stevenson by unanimous decision.
UFC 127 may not be announced, and the Lytle vs. Condit showdown may not be official yet, but one thing is for sure: The UFC will make its way back to Australia, and they will leave the crowd in Sydney with something they'll be remembering for years and years to come.
If ya SMELL what the UFC... is cooking! *raises eyebrow*
