Default Wrestling Roadtrip -- Must-See Mat Landmarks ?

I'm thinking about a story for RevWrestling.com, and I could use YOUR help...

I've thought about doing a "Wrestling Roadtrip" story, describing some of the must-see wrestling-related sites around the country. The obvious ones would include the...
> National Wrestling Hall of Fame & Museum in Stillwater, Oklahoma...
> Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute & Museum in Waterloo, Iowa.

There's also the Iowa Wrestling Hall of Fame in Cresco. Perhaps there's a similar HOF for your state?

If you can think of any museums, halls of fame, or other facilties that would be worth seeing for wrestling fans, please let me know.

All I'd ask is that these facilities be open to the public -- not in private clubs, or wrestling rooms that would generally be off-limits to us fans -- and that they be AMATEUR-wrestling related. (I'm not interested in pro rasslin' halls of fame.)

Thanks in advance,
Mark

I can't say it's a "must see", but the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum has a few amateur wrestling displays. I believe they have a Kurt Angle display and a high school wrestling tribute display.

Maybe you could call for some details?

No it's a bar.

What about the Olympic Training Center is CO springs? However, I think you have to do one of those group tours and you only stop in the wrestling room for like 2 minutes.

I never left Buffalo Wild Wings. High fived every waitress there.

What about including wrestling rooms. Like Penn State has a great facility here in PA. There is a small HOF walk there too.

I highly recommend the lobby of the Small (named after wrestler Richard Small) Gymnasium on the Cornell College campus. It's just amazing to see those NCAA and AAU National championship trophies in that little gym - and the HOF plaques and photos that are on display. An added goldmine - walk downstairs to Mike Duroe's office and he'll talk wrestling with you for hours.
