![]() ![]() | Cool pictures, just the whole circumcision festival kind of creeps me out. Lets have a big celebration about lopping part of a little boys penis off. My apologies to Jewish and all other cultures where it is traditional.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Well I created a new album with pictures from my 2003 & 2005 journeys to folk-wrestling events in more civilized parts of Europe. It shows Ranggeln (Ger. “to wrestle”, etymologically related to En. “to wrangle”), a folkstyle in some areas in the Alps: in the Austrian federal districts of Salzburg and Tyrol, in South Tyrol (= North Italy) and in Upper Bavaria (Germany). No circumcision, no oil..., the Rangglers are even dressed. ![]() The matches are very impressive not only because of the nice throws, but also because of the beautiful landscapes in the Alps. All competitions (except for the Austrian nationals – in any sport hall) are held in open air, high (sometimes very high) in the mountains. For more info about Ranggeln see InYo: Ranggeln, the Austrian wrestling: Baxter (though this isn't the best article about Ranggeln)
