Re: Lindenwood University adds women's wrestling team
Girls in Missouri now have several different college women's programs to chose from between this, Mo Val, and Mo Baptist. Kudos to the state of MO for being a leader in the college women's wrestling movement.
Re: Lindenwood University adds women's wrestling team
I think that before Kip took the job at Cumberland, he had tried to start a club at Cleveland State. But it would be nice if a school in OH started a team, as the state has some great men's wrestling (and some pretty darn good girls have come out of OH as well!)
Re: Lindenwood University adds women's wrestling team
I was thinking the same thing. My cousin wrestles at Cumberland on their women's team. I'll be interested to see who takes the lead in Ohio with women's wrestling. Will it be Ohio State which has done a pretty good job of supporting Olympic sports in general, and who certainly has the money to add a program, or will it be one of the smaller schools in the northeast corner of the state, which is the hotbed for Ohio wrestling.

That is a solid organization.... they will be in the mix right away.
Lots of programs added this year.... hopefully by the time my little one gets that age she is a "recruit" with options of many programs to find a fit best for her academically and athletically (she says she wants Stanford - I was impressed because I didn't put that in her head).
