Yea she loves to throw the legs in, she had a big win for us today. She went
4 - 0 and Brantley went 6 - 0 in this weekends Dual tournament.
Her last match she bumped up to 110lbs and got the fall against a kid from Ponca City a 5a school, we are 2a. We placed 5th out of 12 teams, we have to give up to many forfits. I sure wish we could fill the roster.
The roster problem is something that really opened my eyes when I started working with a D3 school here in Columbus a few years ago. I grew up in a program that was 3-4 deep in every weight, so the idea of having to forfeit a weight because of lack of numbers was new to me. I have much more respect for how much more difficult it is for small schools to be competitive.
Your kids look great on the mat. Congratulations to both of them on their success.
