Karissa has a broken hand, fractured 5th metacarpal in her left hand. This really sucks because wrestling practice starts next week.
She broke it playing dodgeball in PE. She said it was down to 5 on 2, she had a ball in each hand and was not gonna backdown well she left her pinky sticking out and a ball hit it stright on forcing it down into her hand causing the fracture.
Karissa says she is gonna ask coach if she can wear one of those football player padded hand arm pads over her cast so she can still practice.

dude, NO WAY!

i did almost the exact same thing my senior year in football fielding punts...caught the ball wrong and it drove my left pinky right down into my hand...left my pinky at a 90 degree angle...

its going to be very achy, hot and annoyingly painful for awhile but really encourage her to not do to much with the actual hand....mine never healed quite right because I kept messing with it.
