    How much did you weigh?

I would echo what the other wrestlers have said, time spent training, lifting weights, and an ability to understand leverage. A As I have gotten older I a don't lift as often and am not as strong as some of my kids, but I have no trouble taking them down and controlling them on the mat because of my understanding of my body and the fact that I coach 6yr old girls.

As a wrestler I would hope instead of the strength of wrestlers you would fear the intensity that a wrestler brings to the mat.

    Hahaha.

I know my body well too, 4 years of BJJ so I can manipulate it well, obviously not as good as I'd like but that isn't the case I believe. What I'm saying is this is pure brute strength these kids have. I admit that maybe I play into the stereotype that the bigger you are the stronger you are but I could have never imagined a 135lb kid being so strong.

Hey brother was 125lber and he was pound 4pound the strongest kid in our high school by far. With a 315bench 3335 squat and 275 power clean and the ability to do 100 dips with weight and 70 pull-ups, it didnt have to be pound4pound it could have been head up in a lot of cases.

Probably my best wrestler -Terrance Randolph -is in the 200 lb club @Ben Davis -meaning he could bench 200 10x's-he won state at 125.

    3335 squat

Now that is a pretty good squat.
I am 49, bald, ugly, and don't own a single cool thing. Kids like me though.

On a slightly different note: Submission grappling definately takes wrestling into account.

I have a 7 yr old who has been wrestling since he was 4 and has had success. We watch the mma shows and he wanted to do a submission tournament.

Checked out the info on a local state submission tournament and even though he had never competed in submission grappling, because he had wrestled he had to compete in the intermediate division.
