I have this sparring partner who has never wrestled before. Well, okay, he has wrestled but it was like 25 years ago. So the thing is, everytime I am sparring with him I am having this kind of inborn sense to take it easy with him. I am being very careful not to hurt him. Then I am wrestling like an amateur myself too and he even gets some points from me because I am like floating all the time. I know it's ridiculous, but for some reason after the sparring session is over, I am starting to feel depressed because somebody who's never wrestlerd took a point or two from me, eventhought I know that I was taking it easy with him. So I am just curious to know if anybody else haves this "thing" when wrestling against somebody who haven't done any wrestling or is way more weaker than you. |

I think that what you are doing is natural. You feel obligated to help and guide him but if you want to train, get a partner that can take the abuse. The newer wrestler's skill level exponentially grows, while your ability is more difficult to elevate to the next level. Bottom line; get a new partner.
