Maybe a stupid question but who do you think would win? Aleksandr Karelin or Mijail Lopez? Some people say Karelin would defintly win with the old rules brought back. But if they were wrestling with todays rules it's hard to tell. I would say Karelin would win no matter what. Karelin i say looks so much stronger than Mijail. What do you all think? It's a question that's been bugging me for a while, so a lot of opinions would be appreciated.

Its tough to guarantee any win by Karelin after losing to Gardner- he is a beast, but you'd want to wrestle a pre-1999 Karelin if you wanted a "lock".

So your saying Lopez would basically win? If so then why? What would give Lopez the edge?

I think today's rules would favor Karelin. He gets to start at least twice in the reverse body lock position. I don't know how his par terre defense is as I don't remeber ever seeing him need to defend.

Yea, cayse back in the day he would have to work for a body lock. With todays rules he would already have a lock and be standing.
