Well its a risk keeping him because he's not yet the true starter. Even if he's the starter he will most likely split time with Coughlin. That leads you to putting someone in the line-up that isn't surely starting or wrestling.

I'm going to pick him up if someone with a higher priority doesn't snake him.

If Kinser does wrestle 149 I'd be first in line to pick him up again, but that remains to be seen.

Sorry, but I wasn't interested in a 174, as I already have the champ - Jordan. I'm not too big on Baxter either. I think I did well on picking up Steve Brown - CMU at 149. Kinser/Coughlin situation at 157 is too unsettled for me.

my preference would be lucas, but i'll leave it to you

or even chriswell for that matter...

How about Johnstone for either Lucas or Brenner?

I think you just go points for his matches as they would be in a dual, 3 for dec, 4 for a major, 5 for a tech(with backs) and 6 for a pin. I don't think this tournament had a bonus for placing, but I'm not sure.

Dave Herman, he is wrestling unattached. Goldman was more into his matches than any of his wrestlers he's getting PAID to coach.

    No thanks for Kilgore

Heavyweight is pretty weak and it was pretty lame at MSU too. Herman would have probably won it if he didn't get bored and leave.

I would have to rule that a no. I'm trying to run this like any fantasy football league and thats how it would work there. I'm not even sure Cocozzo is even wrestling as he was unattached yesterday. He might be redshirting from the way it looks.

We can't do between league trades buddy...sorry. I do appreciate the offer.

Smith was dominating when I was in high school, although I think he was year or two younger. He was incredibly quick, you're right about that. Just an unusually gifted athlete.

Joe Virgin was one of my dad's best friends when my dad taught at Ben Davis. I've heard he was a dick but he came to my dad's funeral and was cool with me, so I can't dislike the guy.

Hang in there, buddy. If there's one thing we can count on, it's that we don't know what's around the bend. Your situation has to improve.

Did you wrestle with Cameron Smith?

I'm not sure who will show up at MSU, sometimes their studs go, but it wouldn't surprise me if Angel stays home.

Everhart might do well, but its more or less because heavyweight is so weak. It will be interesting how the new qualifier system will work out.

I really can't say too much about Barnes. I know he was/is a freestyler, but I was less than impressed with him last year. I didn't know about the injury, so you have more knowlege than me Brother.

    Brother R Peyton,
No I never wrestled Tom Zupancic. We were in the same weight class a couple of times, (82 National Open & 82 Concord Open) but we never wound up hitting each other in the bracket. I mostly wrestled 220 lbs through the 83 O.trials. After that, it was fat and happy at heavyweight. However, heavy was changed from unlimited weight to 286, ending the careers of a lot of good big men, Zupancic and Pete Lee included. You are right about him being strong. Dude was huge from the neck to the shoulders! I remember he had a little tiny blonde, (bodybuilder?) wife or girlfriend who would yell her lungs out whenever he was wrestling!!

They can pull a redshirt any time. They did it with Coleman Scott in January of his freshman year.

Dude you can do what you like, like I said Mason seems to definitely be starting and I don't know about Barnes.

No one thought that Kellen Russell was going to come out and win the Big 10 as a true freshman last year either, but he did...

Barnes would be a decent call I imagine. I'm not super in tune with the out west schools right now and how they're going to shake up.

What you could do if you're willing to gamble a little bit is pick up Mario Mason who doesn't appear to have been drafted in your league. Dustin Schlatter is moving up to 157 this year, so it looks like Mason who is a true freshman this year from Blair is going to wind up as their 149 pounder.
