Wait... RD-149 picked up John Wise despite the fact that he was on Arch's roster? How does that work??

After the match ended, he immediately went to the hallway and started running sprints because he felt like he was gassing a little bit at the end. The cool thing is that he isn't very big, and he doesn't really overpower anyone. He just works harder and never stops. There used to be a video of the match online, but it won't load for me now. That sucks...

Yeah, it's one of the reasons tOSU fans like him so much. Typically he will have a pretty close 1st period--maybe get a takedown or 2. Then he might get one in the second period. In the 3rd period, a non-top-notch wrestler (or even Moza Fay) will just be dead-tired and have trouble making his way back to his feet. Colt will still be going 100 mph, though, and get some ridiculous number of TDs.

His senior year he had a big match against #1 ranked Sean Nemec (who now wrestles for tOSU). It was a pretty close match. Going into the 3rd, I think Colt was down 2-4 points, and people thought Nemec had it rapped up. Colt ended up winning by something like 6 points, because he just wore Nemec completely down and started putting on a TD clinic on the #1 guy in the country.

There's no specific stat I'm looking for. I was just wanting to see who was leading in each category and such. I started wondering because I saw that Sponseller has 106 takedowns so far, which is way more than the leading guy on College Scorebook (I think it's 63). Any idea if anyone would have stats listed like that?

Sponseller and Fio for Stewart and Sentes is probably a pretty fair deal, but you certainly wouldn't be getting "extra cash" for it. I'm banking on Sponseller to make the finals. Stewart, Sentes, and Fio all have reasonable shots at AAing, with Fio probably having the worst shot. Each of them would have to wrestle tough to pull it off though.

Sponseller is my favorite wrestler, so I don't think I'll be parting with him.

It wasn't a DivII guy, it was NAIA, and he didn't get stuck, he got thrown to his back, was down 5-0 and couldn't come back. He lost 8-6 I believe. He definitely had an off day, he just seemed slow. I'm sure he'll bounce back.

I don't really expect him to get pinned or teched either. It looks like the guy knows how to slow down matches. He might be a (very) poor man's Palmer.

That's definitely what it sounds like you're saying...

Are you saying that because PJ Gillespie kept losses against Caldwell and Jenkins to decisions he is going to beat Lance Palmer, the incredibly solid, incredibly consistent 2x AA?

When I said "working" I didn't mean anything negative--I just meant that you had been at work trying to make trades happen like only Russell Payton can do.

Who would you be interested in for Sentes? I assume you would want one of my 125s since he is your only one? But who else? Sulzer?

Question: Who built Hofstra's program from the ground up? Do you think that guy will have his current team ready to wrestle against his old team?

There--I gave you every single toss-up, and I still don't see a way for tOSU to lose. And let's not forget that realistically, tOSU is not losing all of those toss-ups. I even gave you 133 even though Humphrey should be favored in that match (who has Lou beaten other than Mitcheff and Hutter?). I guess Accordino could beat Jaggers, but I don't see it happening.

I am aware that Rug is a pinning machine, and I said that match could go either way. I also said I expected Lucas to beat Rella. These days, I don't really expect Gardner to beat anyone, and this match is no exception. However, Sponseller is NOT losing to Ryan Patrovich. Why do you call him a poser? He beats the best guys and wrestles with a ton of heart.

    125: Bonnano dec. Triggas (0-3)
    133: Rug dec. Humphrey (0-6)
    141: Jaggers dec. Accordino (3-6)
    149: Palmer dec. Gillespie (6-6)
    157: Bowman dec. Johnstone (6-9)
    165: Sponseller dec. Patrovich (9-9)
    174: Lucas dec. Rella (9-12)
    184: Pucillo maj. Clymer (13-12)
    197: Tortora dec. Gardner (13-15)
    285: Morrison maj. Enck (17-15)

You have a good point--all of those matches should be good matches and could really go either way. Actually, I would expect Hofstra to win 174. Who knows about 125.

tOSU should win the other 5, though, and I would imagine they would win at least 1 of the 5 toss ups. It would be a fun match to see. I wish it was in Columbus.

I see you've been working people for trades, is your lineup going to look much different?

Heck, why not? Let's keep it interesting. I'll take Ruschell and Clark for Brown and Sentes. Post it. Good luck!

OK I would like to trade Garnett for massey. make it happen.

thanks bro I didn't see him on that guys lineup

In Metcalf, I know what I am going to get every time he steps on the mat. Even if he doesn't win the rest of his matches, I still am going to get a lot. I don't have the same assurance for either Ruschell or Clark. Basically, the upgrade from Fio to Clark isn't worth the downgrade from Metcalf to Ruschell, and I think you would agree with that...

yeah that does suck it sounds like Zapp isnt a very good commish I dont know what else to say. Jensens does a great job of running our league even though me and him butt heads sometimes

im confused, what scores has Zap been adding up if he hasnt posted his lineup?

In our league if you dont post a lineup you get the same guys you posted the week before.

If that is the case in your league too and he is still making the playoffs after 6 weeks I dont know what to tell you other then his team must be damn good. Flex is important
