Dan Gable turned 60 Saturday. The event went relatively unnoticed. Wrestling historian and writer, Mark Palmer, made note of it on the internet Friday and I’ve seen or read little else about it.

Shawn Johnson is from Iowa and all of us from the Hawkeye state are proud that she is. It’s already evident that NBC is pinning at least part of its’ Olympic coverage rating hopes on a cute, effervescent - but very dominating athlete.

Reversal – The Steve Mocco transfer from Iowa to Oklahoma State as opposed to the Ray Brinzer transfer from Oklahoma State to Iowa.
