Does anyone know who this is (referring to the TV show, Blind Date)?

His name is Paul and he said he wrestled in the world championships twice, once in 1999 and once in Bulgaria. From his practice routine, it appears freestyle.

I did a search on the FILA database for US wrestlers in 1999. There is only one Paul and it's for FILA jr greco...

I think I have only watched Blind date once and it was just because Josh "the punk" Thomson was on it. He was actually remarkably mellow.

But yeah, that is a pretty big overstatement to say you went to the world championships on national tv...

However, the database could be wrong as well. They spelled Darnell Lollis' last name wrong as well as Todd Meneely's (and they have his last name and first name inverted).

I saw him a long time again. Very muscular and was probably about 30 years old. This show may have aired 10 years ao, not sure

I assumed he was freestyle because he shot on his date at the gym, but I guess that doesn't mean anything.

I agree, anyone could lie, but saying you wrestled in 2 world championships and that you made the national team would be a big lie on national TV
