At the 1960 games Ebrahim Saifpour PINNED Aliev and eventually placed 3rd; Aliev was 6th. Saifpour pinned him short before the end of the match at 10:40 (in those times, the match duration was 12 min).
In 1964, Ali Akbar Heydari placed 3rd, Aliev – 4th. They didn't wrestle each other.
In 1968, Abutaleb Talebi placed 3rd, Aliev - 4th again. Their match was a draw. Talebi got Aliev for the pin:
