Russian website is selling packages for plane tickets, hotel and tournament tickets. A package that includes 5 star hotels can be as much as $10K per person to watch one style only.

A package that includes a 2 star hotel can be as "cheap" as $4K to watch one style.

Pretty expensive if you ask me.

Interesting the website is selling packages in Euros. Bush will not like that.

It used to be free to watch Olympics in ancient Greece. The cost of Olympics was covered by collecting everyone's taxes.

What I am trying to say is that most people in the world cannot afford to attend the Olympics. Many people in many countries would have to come up with 2-3 years or more worth of income to go to the Olympics for 5 days. I think people in Iran make $1200 per year.

No kidding. And to make matters worse with the air quality in Beijing you'll have to bring your respirator.

This is double bunk considering staying in bejing is cheap. When I was there a 4 or 5 star hotel was under 200 a night and the shopping and food is cheap. These "packages" you can buy from travel agencys are huge rip offs.

Hotel rates are very high. Have been unable to find anything close to Olympic areas for under $400 USD per night (through travel agents and individual searches).

no, at least 3000-4000 Euros per year.

but you will see many Iranians at China Agricultural University Gymnasium in Beijing.
