    The U.S. Olympic wrestling team was decided at the Olympic Trials held June 13-15 in Las Vegas. Each nation can send a maximum of 18 wrestlers to the Olympics, one for each weight class: seven in men's freestyle, seven in Greco-Roman, and four in women's freestyle. However, the U.S. qualified only 16 weight classes, missing out at 60kg/132 lbs. in both men's freestyle (preview) and Greco-Roman.The 2008 U.S. Olympic wrestling team:

    Ben Askren, freestyle
    Weight Class: 74kg Preview

    Ali Bernard, women's

    The youngest woman on the 2008 U.S. Olympic wrestling team, Ali Bernard will wrestle in the biggest weight class at her Olympic debut in Beijing.

    Dremiel Byers, Greco-Roman

    Rulon Gardner understudy Dremiel Byers will finally step into the spotlight, making his Olympic debut as a two-time Worlds medalist.

    Weight Class: 55kg Preview

    Henry Cejudo, 21, skipped college to achieve his Olympic goals sooner. The two-time national champion has been labeled the "future of wrestling."

    Weight Class: 48kg Preview

    The first Hawaiian to make a U.S. Olympic wrestling team, Clarissa Chun upset 2004 Olympic bronze medalist Patricia Miranda to earn her first Olympic berth.

    The top U.S. freestyle wrestler at 96kg since 2003, Daniel Cormier is one of two returning Olympians on the 2008 U.S. Olympic wrestling team.

    Twelve years after first competing in a U.S. Nationals, T.C. Dantzler is now a three-time reigning national champion and making his Olympic debut at 37 years old.

    Weight Class: 66kg Preview

    The most unlikely of the U.S. wrestlers, Jake Deitchler, 18, is the third high schooler to compete on a U.S. Olympic wrestling team and first since 1976.

    Andy Hrovat, freestyle

    A 28-year-old former Michigan standout, Andy Hrovat will make his Olympic debut in Beijing despite never being a national champion in college or on the senior level.

    Though she was the reigning national champion and a product of the U.S. Olympic Education Center, Randi Miller was the surprise 63kg winner at the Olympic trials.

    Steve Mocco, freestyle

    Two-time NCAA heavyweight champion Steve Mocco will make his Olympic debut in Beijing, though it'll be without his judoka sister Katie.

    Weight Class: 66kg Preview

    A former NCAA champion at Iowa, 30-year-old Doug Schwab makes his Olympic debut after winning his first national title and making his Worlds debut in 2007.

    Marcie Van Dusen, women's

    The only top women's seed at the Olympic trials to make it to Beijing, Marcie Van Dusen will look to again upset Japan's Olympic gold medalist Saori Yoshida.

    Brad Vering, Greco-Roman
    Weight Class: 84kg Preview

    A 2007 Worlds silver medalist and avid fisherman, Brad Vering will make his second straight Olympic appearance in Greco-Roman's 84kg division.

    Adam Wheeler, Greco-Roman
    Weight Class:

    A three-time runner-up at Nationals behind Justin Ruiz, Adam Wheeler finally knocked off Ruiz at the 2008 Olympic Trials to earn his first trip to the Olympics.

    too bad there's no online broadcast for those of us who don't watch the brain draining TV and thus don't subscribe to cable...etc.

    Looks like wrestling will be covered on MSNBC in the AM and afternoon of the event days. Other events will be broadcast also so it is not likely to be continuous coverage.

    The NBC site will have the events online, also have a rewind of the entire event for a couple days afterward. There's tons of footage up now of other events. I would post the link but this forum won't let me because I dont' have 10 posts.
