The Chinese women's track team was under supsicion a few years ago as well. They came from nowhere and were setting World Records in the long distance and then disappeared.

That's the first thing I think of when stories like this come out of China. They had never won a single world level gold, and then all of a sudden, were dominating the world championships with woman that were absolutely huge compared to everyone else. Kinda like the East Germans of yesteryear.
