They know we're growing, I honestly think wrestling will be well covered this Olympics and much more so by 2012.

Seriously though, I agree. This is credited to the AP wire, which is a very good thing. That is a HUGE step in the right direction.

Also, I think that since all the scandals came down in T&F and Basketball has been what it has been the last few years, I think we'll see a lot of the "non-revenue" sports being covered more than not. Combine that with the popularity of MMA and its subsequent mainstream acceptance and there should be a spike in coverage for wrestling, boxing, and judo. The addition of Women's wrestling doesn't hurt either.

Its all apipe dream now, but it isn't completely out of the question.

I agree we'll probably have more medals in Greco than freestyle and certainly better chances at a gold.

I just wish that nbcolympics.com would fix some of the obvious flaws in their coverage of wrestling. They've got a photo section that has multiple errors in the captions. Chief among them is a pic of Kolat holding onto a guy's ankle, but the caption says they're wrestling a greco-roman match. Then there's the caption that claims that one of the wrestlers is from Sweden, while the back of his singlet clearly reads "GEO".

But, I'll take what I can get with coverage, and hope that they eventually get someone covering it, who has a clue.

Frasiers graetest assest to the greco Team was helping get Momir Petkovic hired as the Training Center Coach. You don't hear athletes thanking Frasier when they wint he big tournament, they thsnk Momir. He has been the key to the US Greco Success. Great article but about the wrong man.
I hope Momir can get his hands on Jake and Mango, the other wrestlers have already been training with him, as of late.
